Archos 9 Windows 7 Tablet Review,Price,Faetures and Specs

Archos 9 Windows 7 Tablet

Archos 9 is one of the few tablets of Windows 7, I tried it and it reminds me of the line unit Viliv tablet has been tried before, but more and more cheap. See our full review of Archos 9 after the jump.

Again, you have to read our review of the Archos 5 and Archos 7, to get a better idea about it.

Archos 9 comes in size, suitable only 8.9 inches, but it feels a bit heavy for its size. This is because the body is mostly made of metal or aluminum (net weight is 800 Archos 9 grams, while the large IPad WiFi only 680 grams). Approximately 16 mm thick, it is obvious that Archos has a lot of work to build quality as good as possible.

Archos screen 9 is simply because the contract for the LCD screen is not very good, even if you set the parameters of maximum brightness, the screen looks a little blurry. Nor is the wide viewing angle. It's good to stand out in the back so you can sit watching movies.

Screen resolution of 1024 x 600 is ideal for viewing web pages, but you need a pen that comes with it to move from Archos 9 uses a resistive screen. On the other hand, the use of resistive screens in the Windows 7 platform makes sense in view of the interface and the fact that Microsoft has built its operating system with a pointing device in mind.

Tablet also comes with a lot of physical buttons and ports. There is a special button for a virtual keyboard on the screen, buttons, volume control, brightness, WiFi, and even an optical trackpad (like you see on the BlackBerry) on the right side panel. There is also a 1.3 megapixel webcam at the top left if you need it for video conferencing or chat.

As with any Windows tablet, I could not bear comparison with the same device as Ed-end netbooks Asus Eee PC T91 and Lenovo IdeaPad S10-3t.

From this point of view, we see that Archos 9 is almost as complete as most netbooks with some of the gaps in capacity and ports. This justifies the consideration that the Archos is also possible to use a small form factor and stylish.

The processor uses a low power Intel Atom Z515 processor runs at 1.2 GHz This is the first time I saw this processor, because I used a Z530 at 1.33 GHz Acer Aspire One 751 a year earlier. So here is what the Windows Experience Index seems.

Not very impressive when compared with conventional netbooks, but compared to other pills around, and is considered the top of the pile.

It is obvious that the operating system problem. Running Windows 7 on a machine with 1.2 GHz, 1 GB of RAM is barely enough for an operating system. There has been a slow start and launch the application (but hey, is Windows, for you). I would be more interesting if Android running on it.

Finally, a 2400 mAh battery is not all our expectations. The best time I can get to it was a little over 3 hours will be ready in energy saving mode. It is good that the battery is user replaceable, however.

Archos 9 appeared in the form of tablets side, but the problem is really with the operating system, which affects computers. About Php29, 000 is by far the cheapest Windows Tablet, we have tried (compared with the Viliv Php50k), but not so easy to sell.

We tested two models of 8 GB and 250 GB Archos 70 runs on Android 2.1. Both options have their advantages and ability is essential for this. Check out the full review Archos 70, after the jump.

Like an older brother, Archos 101, Archos 70 looks like the right person for a portable tablet. It is very light and thin (like the version of 8 GB, 250 GB version a bit thicker) with a robust design.

The back panel is covered with a combination of hard plastic and thin sheet metal (aluminum) with the four corners, dotted with small labels, which supports, when the tablet is placed in the back.

For better visualization, there is also a stand on the rear panel, so you can place one corner of a desk or flat surface - perfect for watching movies or viewing pictures to start.

The screen is bright, but not really crunchy (probably due to the pixel density and resolution) and does not have the contrast that is understandable to a regular LCD. 800 × 480, has the same resolution, 4.3? Desire HD (so he says). It works great, but do not expect to be sharp or crisp as the manifestation of the iPod touch iPad or a generation ago.

ARM Cortex A8 1 GHz processor launch actually contributed to the performance of the device. Start the applications faster, smooth video playback and web browsing is enjoyable. HD movie playback is smooth and large, the viewing angle is wide enough, perhaps, more than 100 degrees around. Sound quality is good and right volume with the speakers, all located in the front.

Tablet on the Android Market (like all other Google applications / services) of the box, but you can always install it manually. Archos has no alternative application store called AppsLib, if not as extensive as the original. The user interface is well on Android to 4 sliding.

Do not bother to use a VGA camera, as it has decent image quality. There is a mini-HDMI port to connect the tablet to an external monitor (probably to watch HD movies on the big screen), while micro-USB port lets you connect the device to a PC or laptop, so you can easily transfer files to and from it. No MicroSD card slot on the 250, but has an 8 GB model (corrected).

Archos promises up to 10 hours when fully charged. The requirement is feasible 8 GB version, but do not think the 250 GB version can do the same, since the power-hungry hard.
